Leadership occurs during a casual conversation between coworkers or friends. It occurs when a stranger asks for directions. It shows up in the ways that you interact with everyone and how you move yourself to action.
Successful CEOs, entrepreneurs, and managers see themselves as effective leaders. So can great employees, parents, teachers, spouses, and friends. The type of leader that you choose to be—how you lead yourself as well as how you lead others—will affect the success and satisfaction that you create in every aspect of your life.
Energy Leadership™ is a research-backed system that empowers you to develop your own effective style of leadership. Your effectiveness as a leader creates positive changes in your life and in the lives of everyone you interact with. These positive effects can be seen throughout an entire organization. IKEA, the United States Coast Guard, and other organizations have used Energy Leadership to create the positive outcomes they were seeking. So have tens of thousands of individuals.
A person’s leadership style is the result of a combination of factors including their attitudes, beliefs, and experiences. Energy Leadership allows you to view these complex factors in a clear and meaningful way.
The Energy Leadership Index™ assessment (ELI) is a one-of-a-kind assessment that allows you to better understand your perceptions, attitudes, behaviors, and overall leadership capabilities.
The ELI is an attitudinal assessment based on an energy/action model. You might be familiar with some popular personality-based assessments, like Myers-Briggs and DiSC. These can be valuable tools, allowing people to better understand their strengths and see opportunities. The ELI differs from personality assessments in that it is not intended to identify a person’s “type” or innate preferences.
Instead, the ELI measures your level of energy based on your attitude—your perceptions and beliefs about your world. Because attitude is subjective, it can be changed. By working with a coach using the ELI, you can change your attitude and perspective, make a shift in your consciousness, and increase your energy and leadership effectiveness.
Studies have demonstrated the validity and reliability of the ELI as an assessment. Research has also shown a connection between factors measured by the ELI and a person’s satisfaction with their work relationships, family relationships, communication skills, level of engagement at work, and financial success.
Once you complete your ELI assessment online, you and I will meet to debrief the assessment. During the the assessment and debrief you’ll learn about the seven levels of leadership energy. You’ll explore your own individual energetic profile. We’ll discuss the findings of the assessment and how to use these findings to lead yourself to higher performance and greater satisfaction.
